Apples

This week we are learning about apples. We read a shine a light book called Secrets of An Apple Tree. I love these Usborne books you use a flashlight with them and the kiddos love them! We had a group conversation about everything we knew about apples. We then cut an apple open and noticed the seeds form a star. We cut our apple into slices and did a science experiment. What will brown an apple faster air, water, oil, or vinegar. We charted our guesses and vinegar had the most guesses and vinegar was definitely the hardest on the apple.

Friday looked like a super fun day full of PLAY!! Thank you Miss Vicki, Miss Christy, and Mr. Don for taking such good care of my little friends!!

On Thursday we talked about how to be a good friend. For art time we worked with a partner. We made a group painting project and painted our friends faces using a clear plastic picture frame. This is definitely one of our favorite activities!
