Chinese New Year

This is one of my favorite themes!! We read My First Chinese New Year. We sang "Gung Hay Fat Choy" maybe by the end of the week they will be able to teach you! I know it will be stuck in my head all week!! We talked about the Chinese Zodiac and learned that 2019 is the year of the pig. We played a charades like game using the animals from the zodiac. For lunch we tried chopsticks!

Groundhog Day

The majority of the PLA kiddos and teachers are hoping for an early spring. We made our predictions and No won 15 to 6 yes. Our VIP shared some of her favorite things and her mom joined us for lunch. We also celebrated her Birthday! VIP and Birthday in the same week. We were so excited to get to go back to the playground... finally!!
